The Mount Olive Junior Marauder 4th grade team also played championship football this year going 12-0 at the MCYFL Clinic level. This marked a second consecutive undefeated season for the future MOHS Class of 2029, as they’ve now gone 21 straight games without a defeat to start their tackle football careers! The Marauders outscored their opponents by a margin of 290-43 on the year, while pitching 7 shutouts in 12 games. The Marauders were coached by John McBride and assisted by Brian O’Connor, Rick Macri, Chris Banes, Shawn Collins, Jon Cooke, Rafael Gabriel, Jimmy Kay and Adam Norris.
In a year of constant chaos and uncertainty, these young athletes persevered through it all and while grateful for their accomplishments, their biggest success is the simple fact that they were able to go out there and play the game they love with their best friends.
